Finely carved over the entire surface, this pounamu face plaque combines influences of Maori and Mayan design. A one-off collectors item the mask (27.5cm x 17cm) is carved of one piece of New Zealand nephrite jade from the South Westland district and rests on a carved stand (24cm x 18cm)made from New Zealand kauri.
